Why Mosaic Dance Academy
Mosaic Dance Academy is a welcoming space for dancers of all ages and backgrounds to learn and grow through classical dance styles. As we enter our first year of business, I am excited to offer beginner and intermediate classes in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip-Hop for both kids and adults.
Whether you’re an experienced dancer looking to refine your technique or someone stepping into the studio for the very first time, Mosaic is a place to challenge yourself, express your creativity, and discover the joy of movement. We believe that dance is not only an art form but a fulfilling journey of growth, confidence, and connection.

My mission with Mosaic Dance Academy is to create a space where every dancer feels seen, supported, and empowered. I believe dance is for everyone – Not just the most technically trained, but anyone with a desire to move, express, and grow.
At Mosaic, we focus on more than just steps and technique. We nurture confidence, creativity, and community. Whether you’re here to pursue dance seriously or simply to try something new, my goal is to help you become the best version of yourself – on and off the dance floor.
About the Owner
Hi! I’m Mia, proud owner and founder of Mosaic Dance Academy.
My love for dance began at just three years old in Columbus, Ohio, where I trained in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, and Acrobatics. Dance quickly became more than a hobby—it became a way of life. It taught me discipline, gave me a voice, and shaped the person I am today.
I went on to study Dance Management at Youngstown State University, earning my Bachelor of Arts. There, I learned not only the art of movement but also how to open and run a dance business with heart and purpose. I’ve had the privilege of performing in numerous showcases across Ohio and training with a variety of respected choreographers. I continue to expand my own dance training and am currently pursuing certification programs to further my education, so I can bring even more knowledge and skill to my students.
Opening Mosaic Dance Academy has been a lifelong dream, and seeing it come to life has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my journey.
Mosaic is more than just a studio—it reflects everything I believe in. The name represents the beauty of bringing different pieces together to create something whole. I believe every dancer is unique, and together we form something vibrant, powerful, and meaningful.
As a teacher, I lead with encouragement, kindness, and a deep commitment to helping others grow—not just as dancers, but as people. Whether you’re taking your first class or returning to dance after years away, I’m here to cheer you on every step of the way.
