Classes for Every Dancer
At Mosaic Dance Academy, we offer flexible dance opportunities for every stage of life. Our adult classes are designed with busy schedules in mind and are available on a drop-in basis, making it easy to dance whenever it works for you. No long-term commitment is required—just come move, learn, and enjoy.
Our youth recreational classes are offered through seasonal registration sessions, allowing young dancers to build confidence, develop new skills, and make lasting friendships in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Fall registration is now open! Whether you’re joining us for weekly youth classes or trying an adult drop-in class for the first time, we’d love to welcome you to the Mosaic Dance Academy family.
Class Styles
Ballet Classes
Our ballet classes focus on foundational technique, strength, posture, and grace. In this class dancers will develop proper placement and control through traditional barre exercises, center work, and across- the- floor combinations. Emphasis is placed on classical vocabulary, turnout, port de bras, adagio (slow, controlled movement), and allegro (quick, precise jumps). Dancers will also work on musicality, coordination, and building strength through repetition and detailed corrections.Â
This class is structured to support technical growth in a disciplined yet supportive environment, making it ideal for both beginners seeking strong fundamentals and experienced dancers refining their artistry.Â
Jazz Classes
Each class blends technical skill-building with high-energy combinations, focusing on musicality, rhythm, and performance quality.
Students can expect a mix of warm-ups to build strength and flexibility, across-the-floor progressions like turns, kicks, and leaps, and choreography that evolves week to week. The music is upbeat, creating a supportive space where dancers are encouraged to take risks, grow in confidence, and express themselves through movement.
Whether you’re newer to jazz or looking to refine your basics, this class offers a great balance of challenge and accessibility, with plenty of room to grow!
Contemporary Classes
Contemporary combines elements of ballet, modern, and lyrical dance to express emotion through fluid movement. Dancers will explore floor work, dynamic weight shifts, release technique, improvisation, and musical interpretation. This class incorporates exercises that builds core strength, body awareness, and versatility, while emphasizing emotional expression and storytelling through choreography. This style encourages dancers to explore movement with intention, creativity, and authenticity.Â
Creative Movement (Ages 3-5)
Let your little one’s imagination soar! This joyful and nurturing class introduces young dancers to the world of movement through imaginative play, storytelling, and age-appropriate dance steps inspired by ballet and jazz.
Each week, dancers embark on exciting adventures—like tiptoeing through enchanted forests or flying like butterflies—while exploring rhythm, coordination, and expressive movement. We use fun props like scarves, ribbons, wands, and hoops to bring stories to life and help develop fine and gross motor skills.
Alongside physical growth, children will also build important social skills like taking turns, following directions, and dancing as part of a group. Gentle structure and routine help lay the groundwork for future dance training, all in a playful and supportive environment.
